Maybe curiosity killed the cat, but I think it also allowed the cat to embrace its dynamism and depth. If we are curious, our prefrontal cortex is engaged. When our prefrontal cortex is engaged, and our amygdala is not activated, we are open to the world and all its possibilities. Being open to the world of possibilities can be both thrilling and terrifying at the same time, but with increased awareness and the development of clear boundaries, it is possible to learn to navigate our lives with more ease. As a therapist, curiosity is the primary tool used to help you become more aware of yourself, your patterns, and your path toward healing. Not only am I curious, but I want to help imbue a natural curiosity within you.
